Brick officials on Tuesday night awarded four separate contracts in support of its road improvement program, with three of the projects centered in specific neighborhoods and a fourth that will see a number of isolated streets repaved due to immediate need. The contracts total $1,943,819, all having been awarded to the lowest qualified bidder.
The Lions Head South community will see several streets milled and paved by Stilo Paving and Excavating, of South Plainfield, which was awarded a $646,370 contract. The roads to be paved include Laurel Lane North, Pam Lane, Thames Place, Garland Drive, Meadowbrook Road, Eric Court, Marta Court and Floral Drive.
The Cherry Quay neighborhood will also see freshly-paved streets, along with drainage improvements. The council awarded a $646,370 contract to Stilo Paving and Excavating, of South Plainfield, to pave Seagoin Road, Boom Lane, Bark Road, Port Road, Club House Road and Cross Trees Road.

The third neighborhood contract covers streets in the Kingfisher Cove section, under a $463,723 contract awarded to Meco Inc., of Clarksburg. The streets covered under the contract are Beach Plum Road, Wintergreen Avenue, Arbutus Avenue and Kingfisher Circle.
The fourth contract covers a number of streets that are in need of repaving, but not part of a larger neighborhood project. The most notable is Ridge Road, on which the township’s recycling center is located. The other streets in the contract are Brower Drive, Crate Place and Yew Drive. The isolated street repaving contract was also awarded to Meco Inc. for $463,723.
