Brick officials have announced the reopening of the township’s Senior Center on Aurora Place following a temporary closure for building repairs.
The township announced Monday that the center, located at 500 Aurora Place, will reopen on Tuesday, Dec. 23, 2025. Beginning Tuesday, all Senior Services programs and activities will resume at the Senior Center building.
Senior Services operations were temporarily relocated during November and December due to an emergency construction project at the building, which was converted from a former Brick Volunteer EMS squad hall. Brick no longer has volunteer EMTs; the building was renovated for about $800,000 and primarily houses the Senior Center, but leaves room for the basing of ambulances by the current Brick Police EMS-Rescue squad.

“We sincerely thank our residents for their patience and understanding during the closure,” the township said in its announcement. “Senior Services staff looks forward to welcoming everyone back and continuing to serve the community at the Brick Senior Center.”
