A Brick Township man has pleaded guilty to possession of child sexual abuse material following his arrest last year.
Marc Fay, 42, had his electronic devices confiscated after he became a person of interest in an investigation by the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office’s High-Tech Crime Squad as well as Brick police in October 2025. A forensic examination of Fay’s mobile phone was performed, which led to the discovery of a video depicting child sexual abuse material, the prosecutor’s office announced Thursday. Fay was charged accordingly on October 16, 2025; he surrendered himself at Brick Township Police headquarters and was transported to the Ocean County Jail. He was subsequently released as a consequence of New Jersey bail reform policies.
The case garnered a great deal of attention locally after a popular social media account presented a video with a man, later identified as Fay, being confronted by another man who accused him of lewd behavior involving minors. The investigation was launched after the video was published online and widely shared.

At the time of his sentencing, currently scheduled for March 27, 2026, prosecutors will be seeking a five-year term of probation with the condition that he has no unsupervised contact with minors and no internet access. The sentence will be handed down by Superior Court Judge Linda Baxter.
