If you’re looking to join the pickleball craze before summer, Brick is offering lessons in the comfort of the indoors this winter.
The Recreation Department is serving up pickleball fun this season with clinics designed for both new and experienced players, the township announced. The “Beginner Pickleball Clinic” is the perfect introduction to this fast-growing sport that blends elements of tennis, badminton, and table tennis. Participants will learn all the fundamentals and be playing games by the end of the lesson while meeting other beginners along the way. All equipment is provided — just wear sneakers and bring a drink, the announcement said.
For those ready to take the next step, the “Intermediate & Strategy Pickleball Clinic” is designed for players who are comfortable with match play and looking to improve. These sessions feature coached games where participants will learn new strokes, strategies, and techniques to elevate their skills. Players should feel confident playing with others at a similar level.
