Brick officials on Tuesday night authorized the solicitation of bids for the repaving of a portion of one of the township’s senior communities, as well as another on a lagoon-front street in the southern portion of town.
The first project would see the repaving of portions of the Lions Head South development. The streets to be paved include Laurel Lane South, Gallo Lane, Tennis Court, Abbey Road, Carter Way, Yorkwood Drive and Ashford Drive. The project consists of the milling and paving of roadways and drainage improvements.
The second project consists of the paving of one street: Channel Drive, located in the northernmost portion of the Shore Acres neighborhood off Drum Point Road. Like the first project, the Channel Drive project will consist of roadway resurfacing and drainage improvements.
Contracts for the work are expected to be awarded after a public bidding process is complete.
