A program that began three years ago wherein dog owners were allowed to bring their four-legged friends with them to Brick Township’s seasonal Farmers Market will continue in 2026.
The township council, by resolution this week, unanimously approved an exception to the usual dog regulations to allow them at the weekly event at Windward Beach Park. This year’s Farmers Market will be held Saturday mornings from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. between May 2 and Oct. 3, 2026. The township also hosts an extra market the week before Thanksgiving.
The market features 60 vendors that sell farm-fresh produce, handcrafted goods, local wines, artisanal treats, specialty coffees, craft beers, and more. The vendor list for 2026 has not yet been released. Dogs will be allowed to accompany their humans again this season, but they must be leashed, and owners must clean up after them. They are not allowed in the band shell area, since it is considered a beachfront property.
